Herbed Beef Breakfast Patties
Ingredients:
- 2 lb Ground Beef
- 1.5 tbsp Dried Sage
- 3 tsp Dried Marjoram
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil for skillet
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine sage, marjoram, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
- Place ground beef to a large bowl. Add seasoning mixture and gently combine, being careful not to overwork the beef.
- Divide beef mixture into 12 to 16 portions. With clean hands, roll each portion into a ball and flatten to form a patty.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt a small amount of coconut oil, just enough to lightly cover bottom of skillet.
- Cooking in batches, place patties in skillet and cook until meat is cooked through and edges are slightly crispy with an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, approximately 5 minutes each side.
- Remove from skillet and continue to cook remaining patties. Serve with your favorite side dish.
Notes
If you ground beef is very lean you may need to add a small amount of fat to the pan just before adding the patties.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a 350F oven for about 10 minutes.
