Herbed Beef Breakfast Patties

  • In a small bowl, combine sage, marjoram, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Place ground beef to a large bowl. Add seasoning mixture and gently combine, being careful not to overwork the beef.
  • Divide beef mixture into 12 to 16 portions. With clean hands, roll each portion into a ball and flatten to form a patty.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt a small amount of coconut oil, just enough to lightly cover bottom of skillet.
  • Cooking in batches, place patties in skillet and cook until meat is cooked through and edges are slightly crispy with an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, approximately 5 minutes each side.
  • Remove from skillet and continue to cook remaining patties. Serve with your favorite side dish.

Notes

If you ground beef is very lean you may need to add a small amount of fat to the pan just before adding the patties.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a 350F oven for about 10 minutes.
